The Delta Human Resource Agency was created on December 18, 1989 and chartered as a not-for-profit agency on January 18, 1990.
Delta HRA was created by State and local elected officials to serve the three counties of Tipton, Lauderdale, and Fayette in accordance with provisions of the Tennessee Department of Human Resource Agency Act of 1973. Delta HRA is funded through Federal and State grants, local/city/county funding, donations, volunteers, and United Way.
Our goal is to promote the development of human resources in the Delta District through effective and efficient delivery of human services.

It is dedicated to ensure that the best use is made of resources available by networking and coordinating our services with other agencies in our area.
Office Locations
We have continued to serve the economically disadvantaged, elderly and handicapped persons in the counties of Tipton, Lauderdale and Fayette and in rural Shelby with the Rural Transportation program.

Hours of Operation
Delta HRA Transportation serves the geographical area of Fayette, Lauderdale, Tipton and non-urban Shelby counties. Delta operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Delta buses do not operate on Saturdays, Sundays, New Year’s Day, MLK Holiday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or the day after Christmas.
